Every May, the Foundation proudly awards scholarships to high school seniors in DeSoto who contributed the most community service hours, reinforcing the values of leadership, civic engagement, and service.

The Denise Valentine Foundation awards scholarships utilizing a comprehensive rubric based process. Areas that are reviewed by the committee include, but are not limited to the following:

Community Service, References, and Personal Essay.

 The foundation will remit scholarship funds directly to the recipient, believing that the information will be utilized for expenses related to school.

Scholarships awarded are based upon the availability of funds and additional qualifying criteria.

Scholarship applications will reopen Spring 2026
